The $50 Fall Makeup Bag Update

October 17, 2005 -- Makeup this fall season is ripe with sophisticated shades and textures, says Chicago makeup artist Marcus Geeter. The colors range from nude bronze to radiate red, but the look is always sheer, light and luminous, with the focus being on the lips.

Eyelashes are full and hefty. You can add a half strip of fake lashes to the outside corner of your eyes for a daring look during evening events. Remember the key to a successful look is, "full eyes, soft lips or soft eyes, strong lips."

There are three major looks for fall. First we have the neutral glow; radiant illuminated colors featuring bronze, chocolate, nut, caramel, copper, and champagne. The second hottest look incorporates and visits the pink family, however, it is not the usual bubblegum pink of the past, rather rich raspberry, grape, muted strawberry, rich rose, and luscious berry. Finally, red lipstick makes a big comeback. The idea is to keep the eyes and cheeks subtle and nude, while letting your lips make the statement.
