Wednesday, September 26, 2007

ABC7 Chicago's Ron Magers and Cheryl Burton lead a discussion exploring ways to stem the growing tide of violence against the children of Chicago in STOP THE VIOLENCE: A SEARCH FOR SOLUTIONS. Watch it right NOW online.

This half-hour program aired commercial free and in HD with special reports from ABC7 News' Charles Thomas and Paul Meincke.

An alarming statistic: as of June 12, at least 32 students from Chicago Public Schools have been murdered this school year. Twenty-four of them were victims of gun violence. The recent death of Blair Holt, the heroic Julian High School student gunned down on a CTA bus, left many Chicagoans stunned, outraged and calling for action.

Stop the Violence Web EXTRA: The discussion continues
