Disney Princess Bridal Collection
Many young brides dream of fairy-tale weddings where they wear dresses fit for a princess. Some of those dreams are inspired by the princesses featured in Disney stories. Now those brides can be dressed just like their favorite princesses thanks to a Disney-themed bridal line. Disney and renowned designer Kirstie Kelly today have created a bridal collection including "Princess" bridal gowns, "Maidens" dresses for bridesmaid, "Princess Blossoms" dresses for flower girls, and "Jewels" jewelry and veils.
The Disney bridal collection debuted last April and the dresses are now available at Volles Bridal Boutique in suburban Lake Zurich. The dresses are not copies of the characters costumes, rather the designer attempts to capture the essence of each Disney Princess, including Ariel, Aurora/Sleeping Beauty, Belle, Cinderella, Jasmine, and Snow White. The grace and glamour of each princess comes through in rich treatments with fabrications including silk chiffon, satin, taffeta and a variety of laces, and are elegantly accented with touches of crystal and pearl, ribbon and exquisite embroidery and delicate beadwork.
The fashion-forward Maidens collection extends the aura of each Disney Princess to women today with the most versatile gowns in the line. This romantic collection was designed with a cocktail and eveningwear vision that weaves traditional bridesmaid design with red-carpet glamour. The collection includes a variety of princess-inspired silhouettes from flowy to fluid, prim to form fitting. The couture-style gowns are available in a wide range of colors and fabrications such as duchess satin, satin back faille, taffeta, and silk shantung with intricate beading and adornments.
The Princess Blossoms collection adorably connects to every little girl's inner princess. From the perfect flower girl dress for special occasions to the holidays, the Princess Blossoms collection features 12 style options in sizes 4 to 14.
"Each piece in our Princess Blossoms for flower girls line marries the classical styling of our bridal gowns with romantic and flouncy elements that make all little girls feel like princesses," said Kelly. "The gowns are fun to wear, yet fit wonderfully into very elegant environments, a natural way for little girls to realize their own princess-inspired dreams."
The Jewels collection is a glittering showcase of Disney Princess-inspired pieces designed to complement every gown in the collection, including dainty hand-forged flowers made of fine Czech crystal for Snow White, softer, translucent crystals for Cinderella, and a combination of fresh water pearls and crystals with deeper hues for Ariel. The collection features traditional artisanship and elegant designs that will become part of the princess-inspired legacy every bride looks to create on her wedding day. Each piece is color coded with a gem depicting the represented princess, such as light sapphire for Cinderella and amethyst for Jasmine. Rounding out the Jewels collection is a line of classic yet fashion-forward veils focusing on subtle variations in color and shape that whisper characteristics of each Disney Princess.
