Victoria's Secret grand opening/Casting call

October 21, 2009 -- As Victoria's Secret opens it Michigan Avenue, the company launches a search for the next Runway Angel.

Ten finalists will be flown to New York City where the Victoria's Secret Angels will host "Angel Boot Camp," a series of challenges that will give the contestants the chance to prove to the world that they have what it takes to be the next Runway Angel.

Marisa Miller:
- California girl, Born in Santa Cruz, California, and ever the athlete, Marisa was a star volleyball player in high school. While on vacation in 2001 surfing at Manhattan Beach in southern California, Marisa was discovered by photographer Mario Testino.
- Marisa first appeared in the 2002 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition, securing her position within the modeling industry. As a result, clients such as Victoria's Secret hired the blond bombshell to endorse their brands. Many other companies followed suit, and soon Marisa began appearing in publicity campaigns for the likes of Andrew Marc, Tommy Hilfiger, J. Crew and most recently True Religion Jeans.
- Marisa secured the cover of the 2008 Sport's Illustrated Swimsuit Edition (she's appeared in past SI Swimsuit issues 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007)

Miranda Kerr:
- born and raised in Australia
- first Australian model ever to appear in a Victoria's Secret runway show
- Miranda's career has consisted of a mix of high profile runway shows, fashion and beauty shoots, as well advertising in television and print.
She has appeared on the covers of numerous magazines, including British Harper's Bazaar with Michaelangelo Di Battista.
- Her campaign work includes Victoria's Secret, Maybelline, Levi's, Blumarine, Rock & Republic and Abercrombie & Fitch.
- Miranda also appeared in the Pharrell and Kanye West music video "Number 1", as well as the debut music video for the band Tamarama,"Everything to Me."
- Miranda lives in NYC

Doutzen Kroes:
-Holland-born Doutzen was a schoolgirl in the rural Dutch countryside calling home a village of just over 1500 people.
She randomly sent pictures to a modeling agency with the dream that she might make some extra money to shop and buy fashion magazines. Luckily, the agency immediately signed her.
- After completing her studies and moving to New York City to pursue a modeling career full time, Doutzen began appearing on the runways in New York, London, Paris and Milan. She's garnered the covers of Italian, German and Japanese Vogue
-In 2007, Doutzen joined the Victoria's Secret family.
- When not shooting campaigns for Valentino, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Calvin Klein's fragrance Eternity and being under cosmetic contract with giant L'Oreal, and Victoria's Secret, Doutzen decompresses with family and friends in Holland.

Victoria's Secret Angels Marisa Miller, Doutzen Kroes and Miranda Kerr will be walking the "Pink" carpet for the VIP Grand Opening celebration October 21st at 6:30pm at the new store.
