'How Lakeview Looks" Runway Fashion Show

November 7, 2009 (CHICAGO) -- (PRESS RELEASE) For the fifth consecutive year, merchants in the Lakeview neighborhood display their upscale apparel and styling techniques in Central Lakeview Merchants Association's (CLMA) "How Lake View Looks 5" runway fashion show.

In stride with Mayor Daley's Fashion Focus Chicago initiative, the event will showcase unique merchandise as well as creative hair and makeup design from many area boutiques and salons.

The show will be held on Saturday, November 14 at 7:30 p.m. at the world famous Cubby Bear Entertainment Complex in Wrigleyville (1059 W. Addison) and is preceded by a cocktail reception starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $10, which includes one drink ticket and can be purchased on the Brown Paper Tickets Web site http://www.brownpapertickets.com/event/81927.
A portion of the show's proceeds will be donated to charitable organizations in the Lake View area including the Lake View Shelter, the Lake View Pantry, Chicago Women's Health Center, Thresholds Mother's Project, and the Counseling Center of Lake View.

Larissa Tyler, Executive Director of CLMA and producer of the show, said, "In addition to providing our merchants with exposure, this show is a great opportunity for their customers to see that the latest styles and fashions are within walking distance. Our hope is that when Chicagoland consumers make buying decisions, they consider these retailers as an alternative to downtown department stores and suburban malls."
