February 17, 2012 -- TechnoDad Michael Ferrara shows us some of the most interesting products from the 2012 Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
The convention draws thousands of technology companies from around the world . And pretty soon some of their gadgets will be available in stores. Ferrara has picked out some of his favorites.
1. Maytag Aqualift self-cleaning oven: The enamel oven coating activates with water and low heat to allow moisture to release tough baked-on messes. No odor or extreme heat like old self-cleaning ovens.
2. Biscotti TV phone: Biscotti TV Phone. This small device (yes, it does look like a certain type of breakfast biscuit) turns your TV into a high-definition phone.
3. Escort radar detector with Escort Live technology: Escort Live allows you and your fellow drivers to automatically and instantly communicate all radar threats using Bluetooth and your smartphone.
4. Tagg pet tracker: Tagg pet tracker prevents you from ever losing your dog using advanced GPS.
5. CCrane WiFi radio: CCrane's WiFi Radio allows you or your computer-less mom or dad to listen to their favorite Pandora or internet tunes anywhere there is WiFi.
6. Goal Zero solar chargers: Goal Zero's lineup of solar chargers for your gadgets frees you from searching for outlets.
7. NewerTechnology GripStand2: This iPad stand is sturdy, rotates 360 degrees and can also be used in a vehicle.
