August 1, 2013 -- This summer is the first time in two decades that Oscar Mayer has given consumers the opportunity to influence where its Wienermobiles will go, allowing fans to control its fleet of six iconic vehicles as part of the new Wienermobile Run program.
The Wienermobile Team, #Driftdog, is in Chicago this week and are asking help from our viewers to complete a challenge. The teams need fans to help them earn points, to ultimately be named Wienermobile Run Champion. Some of the challenges the #Driftdog team need your help to complete are listed below or better yet, share your own original challenge to give them!
Examples of challenges:
Snap a photo of a live band performing the Oscar Mayer Wienermobile jingle in front of the Wienermobile
It's a bird, it's a plane&no it's two Hotdoggers?! Take a photo of the Wienermobile from the highest point you can find, such as the John Hancock or Willis Tower. Must be at least 50 stories tall to qualify.
Six Wieners. One Winner. We've brought smiles to people's faces for years. Now we're keeping score. For the first time ever, Oscar Mayer is pitting its six Wienermobile vehicles against each other on a cross-country road rally to earn points and ultimately vie to be named the Wienermobile Run Champion. We're giving you unprecedented access to the Wienermobile vehicles where you'll be able to help decide where they go and what they do while also helping your team earn points.
