Chicago Korean Festival

August 10, 2013 -- On Saturday, August 10, 2013, and Sunday, August 11, 2013, the Chicago Korean Festival is taking place. It features food, dance, music and more.

Among the highlights is the Chowdown in Korea Town World Kimchi Eating Championship, where the world's top-ranked competitive eater, Sonya "The Black Widow" Thomas, will take on her fiercest rival and rising Major League Eating star, Miki Sudo.

Thomas came into our ABC7 studio along with Brandon Yu, co-chairman of the Chicago Korean Festival and Executive Director of the Chicago Korean American Chamber of Commerce, to tell us about the festival and to give an eating demonstration!
