May 20, 2009 (WLS) -- ABC7 Chicago salutes the nation's veterans with the live HD broadcast of Chicago's Memorial Day Parade, the largest annual Memorial Day Parade in the country, Saturday, May 23th, 12:30 p.m. 1:30 p.m.
The Memorial Day Parade, hosted by ABC7's Ravi Baichwal and Leah Hope, will kick off from State and Lake and proceed down State to Van Buren.
ABC7 Chicago's Ben Bradley, Stacey Baca, Sarah Schulte and Jason Knowles will be part of the festivities as they ride atop the station float.
The Memorial Day Parade will honor those fallen heroes who have died in Iraq and other conflicts, commemorating the 44th anniversary of the Vietnam War; the 65th anniversary of D-Day and World War II; and the 95th anniversary of World War I; while also honoring all the victims of terrorism.
The Memorial Day Parade is produced by ABC7 Chicago's Christopher Bowen.
