April 24, 2011 (CHICAGO) -- Easter can be the perfect time to get the family together and prepare a meal.
So why not take the opportunity to teach your children about eating healthy food and learn about cultural differences as well? That is the goal of the organization Common Threads which teaches low-income children to cook wholesome and affordable meals. Every year, the group selects Small Threads, children who are especially enthusiastic and have shown leadership skills.
Chef Curtis Jones with Common Threads joined us in our ABC7 studio, along with some Small Threads, to show us how to make an easy breakfast.
