July 27, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- On Saturday, runners were passing through Chicago in an endurance race that spans from coast to coast.
The MS Run The US started in Los Angeles and ends in New York City on September 6, 2013. It raises money for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
Fourteen runners are running legs (essentially back-to-back marathons in some cases) across the nation in an effort to benefit the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. TV celebrity Montel Williams is an endorser with a personal connection -- he has MS. He joined us in our ABC7 studio along with Ashley Kumlien, founder of MS Run the US to tell us about the cause behind this event.
