July 28, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- On Sunday, hundreds of motorcycle riders are taking part in an annual event to honor fallen police officers.
In the Area Four Ride to Remember, Chicago police officers, representatives from other departments, family members of fallen officers and a civilian riders will leave from the former Area Four Detective Headquarters On West Harrison Street to Gold Star Families Memorial and Park on the lake front.
The event is open to the public, and all makes and models are welcome. Proceeds benefit the families of police officers who have been killed or catastrophically injured in the line of duty.
