ABC7 Chicago Salutes: Valor Games Midwest athletes

August 10, 2013 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- ABC7 Chicago Salutes all the athletes who are taking part in The Valor Games Midwest on August 12-14.

You can watch more than 170 athletes, active-duty and veterans with physical and visual disabilities, compete in the 3-day competition. The event starts at Soldier Field Monday, and the games continue Tuesday and Wednesday at Armour Square Park, 3309 S. Shields Avenue.

Also, the 6th Annual IL Warrior Summit and Welcome Home Celebration is open for all active-duty service members, veterans, and their families.

The Summit is Monday at Soldier Field, 12-5 p.m. It will feature dozens of booths, including organizations, employers, and colleges.
