The 15th Anniversary Cuatro Festival

The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance - PRAA proudly announces that it will be presenting its 15th Anniversary Cuatro Festival at the Harris Theater on November 9th, 2013.

This event has grown to be the largest indoor Latino cultural event in the Midwest, drawing an audience of over 3,000 for the evening concert and regional workshops.

The evening includes special performance by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Puerto Rico, renowned Cuatrista Quique Domenech joined by some of Puerto Rico's leading young vocalist musicians and The Chicago Cuatro Orchestra.

This popular event begins with a series of educational workshops where some of the artists perform for local schools and community centers. Traveling throughout the Chicago region. This year the workshops will take place at the University of Illinois at Chicago, Ravinia Bennett Gordon Hall and at the Harris Theater where a special music workshop performance will be provided to approximately 600 Chicago Public School students. These assemblies reach nearly 2,000 youths and adults using the Cuatro instrument to provide education and spark interest for Puerto Rican arts and culture.

The Puerto Rican Arts Alliance (PRAA) is a nonprofit, 501 (c) (3) organizations devoted to the promotion and support of the cultural traditions of Puerto Rico, particularly through artistic and educational programs. PRAA was established in 1998 to promote Puerto Rican artists centered in the Chicago metropolitan area, and to share the art and culture of Puerto Rico with other communities.
