ABC 7's Mark Giangreco and Janet Davies co-host, along with ABC7 Morning News anchor Hosea Sanders, 190 North's Mark Nilsson, and Windy City Live's Ji Suk Yi, Chicago's only live local New Year's Eve show ABC 7's Countdown Chicago 2013!

A Chicago tradition for the past 22 years, COUNTDOWN CHICAGO 2013 starts this New Year off with a bang by featuring the hottest parties, spectacular fireworks and plenty of musical performances live on ABC 7.

On the most thrilling night of the year, ABC 7 viewers have a front row seat to all the excitement. Davies and Giangreco were LIVE from Hotel InterContinental Chicago O'Hare in Rosemont where appearing onstage are alternative rockers Soul Asylum. "Nothing is more exciting than live television, especially on New Year's Eve and I think Chicago expects us to put on a great show to ring in the New Year!" says Janet Davies.

Hosea Sanders & Ji Suk Yi took viewers to north suburban Lincolnshire and the home of the new Viper Alley! There the crowd was 'partying like it's 2013' with one of Chicago's premiere cover bands The Prince Experience. Ji kept viewers connected during the show through social media!

Mark Nilsson was live from Hilton Chicago in the South Loop to dance the night away with 4,000 partygoers and pop sensation Mike Posner.

We were also at Chicago's hottest new venue City Winery, where multiple Grammy Awardwinning Los Lobos appeared!

Davies and Giangreco led the countdown with viewers to 2013, with a fantastic fireworks display from Chicago's Navy Pier exploding us into the New Year.

ABC 7's COUNTDOWN CHICAGO continues to be a favorite among viewers--far and away Chicago's #1 program at midnight.
