Since its inception in 1983, "Crimefighters" encourages Action News viewers to help police solve crimes and capture fugitives through the anonymous Citizens Crime Commission tip line. Tips from Action News viewers led to nearly 200- arrests.
The success of "Crimefighters" prompted dozens of commendations to Rob from a who's who of civic organizations and government agencies, including the Philadelphia Fraternal Order of Police, The Camden County Sheriff, the Philadelphia Homicide Division, the FBI, the Pennsylvania Homicide Investigators Association, the Burlington County Prosecutors Office, and others.
Rob says two of his most memorable news stories during his colorful career include flying with both the Air Force Thunderbirds and the Navy's Blue Angels.
In November 2003 Rob Jennings was inducted into the Philadelphia Broadcast Pioneers' Hall of Fame for his remarkable and steadfast service to the citizens of the Delaware Valley.
Rob is married and has two children.
