Amy began working at WPVI-TV in 1989. She was a coordinating producer for AM/Philadelphia, and the Senior Producer and Correspondent for both AM/Live and Philly After Midnight. She also produced numerous specials, including the Auto Show, Thanksgiving Day Parade, Kimmel Center Grand Opening, Tall Ships, and Liberty Medal Ceremony.
Before joining WPVI-TV, Amy was a general assignment reporter and morning anchor for KWQC-TV in Davenport, Iowa. Prior to that, she was the Washington, D.C., reporter for WEEK-TV in Peoria, Ill. She also worked for several radio stations.
Amy grew up in Wynnewood, Pa., and attended Lower Merion High School. She graduated Kappa Tau Alpha from Northwestern University, receiving both her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from the Medill School of Journalism. She was given the Harrington Award for top broadcast student in her class and won several additional scholarships from The Headline Club/Society of Professional Journalists in Chicago.
Amy serves on the Board of the Philadelphia Chapter of the Buoniconti Fund, is adbook chair for the Lower Merion Football Boosters and is a past board member of Main Line Reform Temple Beth Elohim.
Amy is married to Terry Buckman, her college sweetheart, and they have three brilliant, talented and handsome sons, of whom she is exceedingly proud.
