Purple squirrel joins the Strange Animal Gallery

1 of 24: This purple squirrel was captured by a Pennsylvania couple in their backyard in the town of Jersey Shore. The cause of the violet fur remains a mystery; it could be dye, or a side effect from something the animal ate. The squirrel is back in the wild, but has become a big hit on social networking sites.
