Two hurt in Del. motorcycle crash

Sunday, August 16, 2009

A man and a woman were seriously hurt in a motorcycle crash in Montchanin, Delaware overnight.

Police say Richard Tew, 38, was driving north on Thompsons Bridge Road when he drove his Harley Davidson straight through a right-hand curve in the road.

The bike struck an embankment, ejecting Tew and his passenger, Pamela Amoss, 37.

Both Tew and Amoss were taken to Christiana Hospital in serious condition with head trauma.

Investigators say neither Tew or Amoss were wearing a helmet.

Alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash, troopers said.
