Biker killed in Route 1 motorcycle crash

Bensalem Police are investigating a motorcycle crash that left one man dead Sunday afternoon.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. along Route 1 at the Pennsylvania Turnpike exchange.

The biker was travelling southbound toward Philadelphia.

According to investigators, the motorcyclist attempted to change lanes, when he lost control, was ejected from the bike and killed.

Police do not believe that alcohol or drugs played a role in the accident. They also say the biker was not wearing a helmet.

The victim's name has not been released.
