The films featured include "The Re-Programmers," "The Supa Kidz," and "From Tragedy to Triumph."
In "Supa Kidz," young people become superheroes to save their own communities from crime. Local filmmaker Tim Greene is mentoring these straight A students like 16-year-old Ayanna McMillan of Germantown who is screening her anti-bullying film, the downside of high school.
"I did everything. I came up with the idea, I did the filming, the casting, and the editing. and it was very hard but in the end I accomplished it I am very proud of myself. "
The films produced by kids are playing this sunday at 4 at the historic Freedom Theater on Broad Street. There's also a free actor workshop. If you bring your straight A report card, there are prizes
