PA University Offers Course in Poker

Friday, January 13, 2006

One new class at Susquehanna University is a sure bet.

The Pennsylvania school is offering a crash course on Texas Hold 'Em.

The course is strictly for fun only, with no credit toward graduation. But it's taught by a prof who knows when to hold 'em and knows when to fold 'em.

Assistant Professor of Economics Matthew Rousu played in last year's World Series of Poker in Las Vegas and lasted through a few rounds.

But just as in the real casinos, you have to be 21 to take the poker course. It will be offered during the spring semester.
