SYRACUSE, NY-February 15, 2006 -- It's not a case of Cat in the Hat – but pot in the hat.
Police in Syracuse, New York, report a six-year-old girl found what appears to be 20 bags of pot in her hat. The youngster left the hat in her locker at school last week.
When she went to put her hat on Thursday, the bags fell out and the girl told her teacher. Police say the bags contain a leafy substance they suspect is marijuana. It's been sent to a crime lab for confirmation.
Investigators say they don't know where the pot came from or who put it in the girl's locker.
