Guitar Found in Man's Pants

Wednesday, November 29, 2006

Arkansas guitar shop owner Clifton Lovell knew the bulge in a costumer's pants wasn't natural.

Lovell says he confronted the man, who, at first denied doing anything wrong.

Then, Lovell says Morgan Conatser revealed he had stuffed an electric guitar down his pants.

The owner of Guitars and Cadillacs says the neck of the instrument was in Conatser's pant leg, while the body of the guitar was hidden under his jacket.

With the guitar back in the store, Lovell didn't intend to call the sheriff's office.

But then he discovered a wireless sound system was missing.

Deputies say Conatser led them to the stolen equipment in his bedroom closet. He's been charged with misdemeanor theft.
