ROSWELL, N.M. (AP) - July 20, 2007 -- It's a grand mistake. A New Mexico Honda dealer has sent out scratch-off tickets in a direct-mail marketing campaign. There was supposed to be only one $1,000 grand prize winner.
But all 50,000 tickets that were printed are winners.
Jeff Kohn, of Roswell Honda, says the typo wasn't caught in the proofreading.
About 30,000 of the mailers were sent before the goof was found. The company which handled the marketing effort has apologized for the mistake.
But Kohn says they're not sure how Force Events Direct Marketing will make good on the promo error.
