BERKELEY, Calif. (AP) - August 31, 2007 -- Members of the Tennessee Volunteers might want to wear earplugs under their helmets tomorrow.
The Vols play California and Cal plans to hand out 50,000 megaphones before their season opener at home.
The Bears' players are looking forward to hearing one of the loudest crowds in the history of Memorial Stadium.
Fans there have been criticized for being a little too laid back during games.
Cal fans hope all those noise-makers will make a difference.
Tennessee won last year 35-18 before some 100,000 fans in Knoxville.
