Police: Urine Trouble

NEWARK, Del. - April 15, 2008 (WPVI) -- A suspect wanted for assault with a gun was caught in a very unusual way.

Delaware State Police report they caught Ernest M. Dedmond, 32, of Philadelphia, urinating in public at the service plaza along I-95 new Newark Sunday night. The bathrooms were only several feet away, according to police.

When identified him and ran an identity check, troopers discovered Dedmond was wanted for assault with a gun by police in Philadelphia.

Dedmond was taken into custody and is being held as an out of state fugitive. He will have an extradition hearing so he can be sent back to Philadelphia to face charges.
