If you have a profile on Myspace.com, you're competing with about 106-million other people for face-time.
To help you make your site stand out, we asked for help from local tech expert Adrienne Bartlett of Target-X.
You should start with a quick Google search. You'll find animated graphics on Glitter-Graphics.com Just copy the computer code, go to your profile and enter the information in your Edit Profile section.
Try making your profile as interactive as possible. Some websites will let you customize your own quizzes and surveys and post them online for your friends.
Check out Testriffic.com to create a quiz and post an interactive scoreboard.
Try Myspace-games.com for puzzles and games.
And browse through Welovewidgets.com. It will let you display your daily horoscope, and allow visitors to your site see if they're compatible with you.
Myspace makes adding music easy. Just go to its music page, find the song you want and then click add.
Want a cool photo collage? Try Photobucket.com, or go to Rockyou.com to create a slideshow and display as many pictures as you want.
And for something different, copy the code at Blaugh.com and you'll have a funny, new cartoon displayed on your profile every day.
Blingjam.net has everything from cool clocks to L.E.D. tickers that will display your own message.
One warning that we cannot emphasize this enough: Beware that others, even strangers, can see your profile. Don't post your address or any other information you don't want to share. Plus, a growing number of employers and college admissions directors are looking at applicants' online profiles. Do not post anything that could come back to bite you.
