30,000 items at Just 4 Kids sale in Maple Shade

Friday, November 04, 2011

A formerly empty storefront at 119 Kings Highway in Maple Shade, New Jersey, was buzzing with activity when we stopped by Wednesday afternoon.

It was drop-off day for the Just 4 Kids Consignment sale, which opens to the public this morning (Nov. 4, 2011) at 10:00 a.m.

Sale Organizer Sue Polokoff explains, "We have over 260 consigners dropping off items and we have over 30,000 items coming into the store today."

The inventory includes just about everything you could ever need for kids... From books to boots... Snowsuits to strollers. All at priced about 75% to 80% off new retail.

It's a great place to do holiday shopping. We found winter jackets and snowsuits from stores like Talbots and Gymboree selling for as little as $5. A Leapfrog alphabet school bus, new in the box, was priced at $15.

And Polokoff showed off a kids' table and chairs set, a bicycle and an L.L. Bean sled, all priced at $15 or less.

Jocelynne Stock or Oaklyn, New Jersey, who's expecting her fifth child, shopped at the sale this summer and is consigning at this sale.

Stock said, "It was good. I did really well. I got a bassinet for the new baby and everything was really cheap and in great shape. They check everything."

The sale runs from 10:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the hours are 10:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. And on Sunday, remaining merchandise is reduced 50%.
