Saving on travel with Jetsetter.com

January 17, 2012 (WPVI) -- If you've got travel fever, check this out! We've found a couple new ways you can stay in luxurious accommodations at a fraction of the regular rate.

Jetsetter.com offers flash sales on luxury, hand-selected and vetted hotels and vacations, plus it just launched two brand new features.

"You might think booking a vacation home is an expensive option," says Kate Maxwell of Jetsetter, "but it can be fairly reasonable. It can be more reasonable than booking a luxury hotel."

That's why Jetsetter has launched Jetsetter homes. Consider that you can divide the cost among a big group of people, cook your own meals, and enjoy your own private pool and other facilities, and you book them just as you would a hotel so there's no middle man .

Home deals include Villa Luna Nueva in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

It is "really close to one of the best beaches and all the nightlife, restaurants, bars," Maxwell says, "and that works out amazingly to $55 per person per night, or $110 for the room."

Jetsetter has launched another new feature called "Mystery Monday" sales.

"Every Monday we're going to introduce a new, fantastic high-end hotel but we're not going to tell you what it is - we're not going to reveal its identity," Maxwell says.

At least not until you book. But you will get great tips on things to do around the property and the prices will generally be even better than Jetsetter's already deeply-discounted regular flash sale rates.

Plus, you'll be able to book hotels that wouldn't normally do flash sales at all.

This week's Mystery Monday sale is for a high-end hotel in Miami. The Mystery Monday price is $249 a night, down from the regular rate of $429 a night.
