$50 or 50% Spa Treatments this week

WAYNE, Pa. - March 19, 2012 (WPVI) -- Usually, you would have to pay $130 for a one-hour OM Organics facial here at AME Salon and Spa.

But this week, you can get a facial for just $50. That deal is just of the many specials local spas are offering as part of Spa Wellness Week 2012.

Lori Pastore of AME explains the concept, "It gives people nationwide, all over the country, opportunities to try different things from yoga, facials, massages, nutrition classes at a much discounted rate."

AME is also offering half-price sessions with their staff yoga instructor and health coach. And dozens of other spas in our area are offering other $50 or 50% off deals throughout Wellness Week, which began today and runs through Sunday, March 25, 2012.

Pastore says tough economic times often prompt people to stop treating themselves to spa services, when really, that's when they can most use them.

"I see people so stressed with so much anxiety now, it breaks my heart sometimes, because I go, 'They need all this.' " she says. "And I know they can't afford it and that's why we like to do things like this to help people with their anxiety and stress."
