(Saving with 6abc - Amy Buckman)
PHOENIXVILLE, Pa. - Nov. 22, 2012 (WPVI) -- $220 men's Uggs boots for $100. A Disney Princess Storybook kitchen for $40. A $138 velour jacket from Juicy for for $20. And a wii controller for $10.
That's just a small sampling of the Black Friday deals that will be offered at the Goodwill store at 700 Nutt Road in Phoenixville.
Avid thrift-shopper Rebecca Peck convinced the staff at Goodwill to give us a sneak peek at some of the merchandise.
Peck explains, "The Phoenixville Goodwill (staff) works all night Wednesday night before Thanksgiving to set the store up and they will bring out all of the good stuff."
With many retailers offering great deals on Black Friday, you might not think of shopping at a thrift store. But the Phoenixville Goodwill will have people lining up even before the doors open.
"You'll never know what you're going to find when you come here," Peck says. "The St. John handbag that was $435 -- still has the price tag on it -- for $99.97."
She adds, "There is an iPod docking station. I paid $80 and I researched it for weeks trying to find the lowest price (last Christmas). They have it hear, brand-new, for $40."
Peck advises, to make the most of this sale, be prepared to wait in line, bring a list of sizes for your gift recipients, and set a budget and stick to it."
Also, keep in mind you only have a week to make returns, and tags and packaging must be intact.
The doors open at 8:00 a.m. For more information, click here.
