Jan. 28, 2013 (WPVI) -- The American Red Cross and Dunkin Donuts in the Philadelphia area have teamed up to give blood donors a free bonus.
Through the end of January, people who donate blood to the American Red Cross will get a coupon good for a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee.
"Dunkin Donuts is honored to partner with the America Red Cross to offer the 'Give a Pint, Get a Pound!' program," said Lou Conte, Field Marketing Manager, Dunkin Donuts. "We hope the offer of a free pound of Dunkin Donuts coffee will encourage more blood donors at this crucial time and help save more lives in our region."
"We are incredibly appreciative of Dunkin Donuts for its ongoing dedication to our lifesaving mission through the 'Give a Pint, Get a Pound!' campaign," said Donna M. Morrissey, Director of Communications for the American Red Cross Blood Services Northeast Division. "This campaign will help the Red Cross raise awareness about the need for blood and continue to meet the daily needs of area hospital patients."
To make an appointment to donate blood, call call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or click here for the Red Cross website.
