VALLEY FORGE, Pa. - Oct. 7, 2013 (WPVI) -- When Jake Wagner, the entertainment director at the Valley Forge Casino, wants to fill tables at the resort's restaurants, or seats in its theater, he uses a new site called Hoodditt.
Wagner explains, "We've been able to make custom offers for each of our restaurants, for appetizers, entrees, whatever it may be, as well as comedy tickets, boxing tickets. It's really perfect for our casino resort."
In some ways, the money-saving deals on Hoodditt are similar to those offered by sites like Groupon or Living Social.
But unlike those sites, the deals on Hoodditt all cost the same thing -- just $.99 each.
Hoodditt Founder, Matt Balin, explains you get a lot for a little. "In some cases, an offer could be a free appetizer valued at $16. It could be, in some cases, where a gym is offering a free month and two training sessions worth $200."
Hoodditt is also different in how users access the deals. You won't get daily emails or push notifications.
Instead, it's up to you to go to the site, where you can choose favorite businesses to get deals from, or search for deals in a specific location.
And once you buy a deal, you can use it right away.
Balin adds, "The customer purchases the offer on Hoodditt for 99 cents and then the coupon, or offer as we call it, gets emailed to them."
Businesses can offer as many -- or as few -- deals as they want, which gives Hoodditt users incentive to check in often.
Balin says, "Businesses get to have fun, because they can create an offer whenever they want. And when the offer sells out it disappears. So there's definitely a sense of urgency from the customer's view."
Hoodditt's app is still in development, but they site is optimized for use on your cell phone. To check it out, click here.
