DOVER, Del. - July 26, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police say they have arrested the neighbor of an elderly man and his son who were murdered in Dover, Del.
Jason Oneil is charged with killing 91-year-old Howard Sheppard and his 60-year-old son, also named Howard.
Police say the murders happened sometime between July 23rd and July 25th on the 300 block of North Governors Avenue.
Around 9:20 a.m. Monday morning, a family member found the bodies of 91-year old Howard A. Sheppard and 60-year old Howard R. Sheppard and immediately called police.
Police say Oneil forced entry into the residence and it appears that both victims died as a result of head trauma.
Authorities say a search of Oneil's home led to evidence in the slayings.
Oneil is also charged with an additional burglary nearby in which police say he stole jewelry.
