Deadly carjacking victims ID'd, 3 suspects at large

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. - September 18, 2011 (WPVI) -- Police in Atlantic County have identified the victims of a deadly carjacking inside the parking garage of the Trump Taj Mahal casino.

Police say the victims, 29-year-old Sunil Rattu and 24-year-old Radha Ghetia were forced into their own car at gunpoint.

The suspects forced the female victim to drive to a nearby alley on the 500 block of Martin Luther King Boulevard.

Shortly after, Rattu was shot dead and Ghetia was left injured.

"They left to go to Atlantic City and have fun. That was her first time going out there as well and right after that tragedy happens," said Anil Rattu, the victim's brother.

Rattu's family spoke with Action News.

"He was a hard working guy. We had two businesses and he handled everything," said Rattu.

Ghetia was able to get help and is expected to survive the brutal attack.

"She was injured and in pain but she was attended to by a local fireman who lives in the area," said Ted Housel, Atlantic County Prosecutor.

The gunmen took off on foot, sparking a manhunt involving several law enforcement agencies.

Police are hoping surveillance images will help them track down the suspects.

"If you know the person, odds are you will be able to identify them from these photographs because they are pretty good," said Housel.

This deadly carjacking is the second in 16 months for the Trump Taj Mahal.
