Suspect killed by police in Hunting Park

A police involved shooting left one man dead in the Hunting Park section of Philadelphia.

It happened just before 1:00 a.m. on the 3900 block of Percy Street.

Police say that an armed man, identified as 26-year-old Aldophus Pinkney, entered Olga's Sport Lounge on North 9th Street.

Patrons were able to force the man out of the bar, lock the doors, and call 911.

According to Philadelphia Police, when they arrived on the scene, the suspect fired at least one shot at them.

Two officers returned fire and the suspect was shot and killed.

No officers were injured in the gun exchange.

The incident remains under investigation.
