M. Night Shyamalan Filming in Bristol Township

BRISTOL, Pa. (AP) - Sept. 12, 2005 -- A new M. Night Shyamalan movie is being filmed at a former industrial park and airport in Bristol Township.

"The facility had everything we needed. It had this wide span of interior that used to be a hangar. It allowed us to build large sets and not to have to worry about beams," said Jose Rodriguez, a producer of Shyamalan's "The Lady in the Water."

Rodriguez said the main setting for the film is a suburban Philadelphia apartment building, which is represented by a five-story set piece. Tenants of the building eventually realize that they are characters in a bedtime story.

"It's the kind of a story that will open up people's imaginations," Rodriguez said.

Warner Brothers hopes to release "The Lady in the Water" on July 21, 2006, Rodriguez said.
