Stones Fan Files Suit Over A.C. Cancellation

Wednesday, November 01, 2006

A Rolling Stones fan has filed a class-action lawsuit because the Stones called off their show last week in Atlantic City.

The New York Daily News reports Rosalie Druyan has filed the $51 million class-action suit because she contends the cancellation cost her and other fans a lot of money on nonrefundable hotel reservations.

The Stones called off the show because Mick Jagger has a sore throat. The Stones have announced they will make up the date on November 17th.

The Stones have also called off Friday's show in Vancouver because of Jagger's sore throat. They will also delay Monday's show in Oakland, California, by a day, and push back the Los Angeles show November 18th to November 22nd.

Last night's show at New York's Beacon Theatre, which was to be taped for a Martin Scorsese film, was delayed until tonight, according to a theater representative. The Honolulu show has been canceled.
