Geico Cavemen Get ABC Sitcom

LOS ANGELES (AP) -March 2, 2007 -- It's a role so easy, even a caveman can do it.

Variety says a sitcom based on the Geico cavemen ads is being developed for A-B-C.

It would be about three cavemen living in modern day Atlanta.

They'd battle prejudice, just as they do in the commercials.

The guy who wrote the Geico commercials would write the sitcom, too.

No word on whether the actors playing the cavemen in the commercials will be cast in the sitcom.
