LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA - November 23, 2009 -- Family matter temporarily shuts down show.
"Cougar Town" has been put on hold.
ABC tells Eonline, it "can confirm production on 'Cougar Town' has been temporarily shut down in order for Courteney Cox to deal with a private family matter."
Because it's private ABC isn't saying anything more, including when Courteney Cox will be back.
