Susan Boyle releases CD

NEW YORK (AP) - November 23, 2009 -- Susan Boyle is ready to take her place in the pop world.

Boyle performed with an orchestra this morning in New York's Rockefeller Plaza for NBC's "Today" show. She's the ordinary-looking woman who wowed the world with her big voice on the TV show "Britain's Got Talent."

Boyle sang songs from her debut CD, "I Dreamed A Dream," which is out today.

Amazon.com says Boyle set a record for the largest number of CD pre-orders through the site.
