PHOENIX (AP) -November 24, 2010 -- Former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin has kicked off her national book tour at a store in north Phoenix.
Several hundred people waited in line Tuesday to get a copy of "American by Heart: Reflections on Family, Faith and Flag," and to have Palin sign it.
Some began lining up at 1 a.m. outside the Barnes & Noble bookstore for the event, which didn't start until 6 p.m.
The book is Palin's first since her million-selling memoir "Going Rogue." The new book was No. 10 on Amazon.com's best-seller list for much of Tuesday.
The potential 2012 presidential candidate was scheduled to sign copies of the book at the Phoenix store for three hours.
