Obama jokes he just wants to take a walk incognito

WASHINGTON (AP) - September 30, 2011 (WPVI) -- President Barack Obama says that unlike first lady Michelle Obama, he's not dying to escape the White House to go shopping at Target.

All he wants to do, the president says, is take a walk.

But a day after Mrs. Obama was photographed shopping incognito at a suburban Target, the president told syndicated radio host Michael Smerconish Friday that as the first lady reminds him, "Nothing I do is undercover."

Obama says his wife is embarrassed to go out with him because of his long motorcade, which he joked includes a dog sled and a caboose.

But he says he's glad the first lady is able to sneak out, "because one thing she loves to do is shop at Target."
