Led Zeppelin to release concert film

Friday, September 21, 2012

The surviving original members of Led Zeppelin have reunited onstage to promote a concert film of their last performance together in 2007.

It was words and not music as singer Robert Plant, guitarist Jimmy Page and bassist John Paul Jones held a news conference Friday to launch "Celebration Day."

The film records the band's performance at a concert at London's O2 arena - their first live show together in 27 years.

The movie captures the 1970s hard rock heroes - joined by Jason Bonham, son of the late original drummer John Bonham - looking relaxed and sounding confident as they powered through hits including "Kashmir," ''Whole Lotta Love" and " Stairway to Heaven."

"Celebration Day" is released in theaters around the world Oct. 17 and on DVD Nov. 19.
