Shooting Outside Philly School

Thursday, May 04, 2006

One person is in custody but the area outside Olney High School is still crowded with investigators after a pair of shooting victims ran to the grounds of the nearby school this morning.

The shooting occurred around 8:44 a.m. at the corner of Front and Ashdale streets.

A female was shot once and a male was shot once in the thigh. Both are between 15 and 17 years old and are in stable condition at Einstein Medical Center.

Both teens ran toward the school after being shot, the female made it inside the school. Police are still figuring out if the victims actually attend Olney High school.

The school is in lockdown as the investigation continues. At one point officials were on the roof of the school looking for a suspect.

Police did take one person in for questioning but it's not clear yet if that person will be charged with anything.
