June 16, 2006 -- A Philadelphia high schooler is the alleged victim of sexual assault by other students at Frankford High School. The teenager's mother is demanding justice for her daughter, but no arrests have been made.
A few students may have been plotting an assault on an unsuspecting mentally challenged classmate.
Police are investigating allegations that a 16-year-old girl was sexually assaulted. Girl's mother: "These boys took advantage of my daughter because she has a learning disability." The 10th grade student was in the lunchroom when she was told to go to the auditorium balcony where other boys were waiting to take part in sexually assaulting her. Her mother said that her disability makes her easy prey."Her ability to make the right decision is not within her limits." It appeared she was being fondled when the teacher walked in and scared the boys away. Girl's mother: "I thought there were people there to protect her." The police are questioning, and school officials contend that the boys snuck away from the lunchroom and broke into the auditorium. The victim's mom is considering a transfer to a special needs school.
