Delaware Teacher Charged with Child Porn

Dover, Delaware - June 19, 2006 (WPVI) -- Police in Delaware have a high school chorus teacher in custody for possessing child pornography. They want to know if his alleged extracurricular activities ever involved any of his students.

Dover High School has been rocked by charges that a chorus instructor was allegedly teaching more than music.

28-year-old Dion Savage was arrested and charged with possession of child pornography, among other things.

The kiddie porn was allegedly found in his home by Dover City Police, who began investigating the case after a student said Savage showed the pictures to him. The student also alleged Savage touched him inappropriately and offered him money for sex.

Savage knows the school well. He graduated from Dover High back in 1995. After he graduated from the University of Delaware he returned to Dover to teach for at least two elementary school before returning to his alma mater.

Dover City Police would like to know if other students have had similar encounters with Savage. He resigned as an instructor at Dover High last Friday.
