More Sex-Related Charges for Former Teacher

DOVER, Del. (AP) - June 27, 2006 (WPVI) -- A former Dover chorus teacher has been arrested and charged with raping a 17-year-old male student.

Twenty-eight-year-old Dion Savage was accused earlier this month of making advances toward a high school student. This arrest however is related to a different student.

Court documents show Savage is charged with 13 counts of rape related to his ten-month relationship with the student.

The documents say the teen went to police with his mother. Police say he told them that he and Savage had sexual intercourse several times. He says Savage also performed oral sex on him.

After a student filed a sexual harassment complaint against him earlier this month, Savage resigned.
