Subway Shooting Wounds Two

Friday, August 11, 2006

A shooting in the subway at Broad and Olney in Philadelphia wounded two people Friday afternoon.

The call came in around 12:40 p.m. for reports of a shooting in the stairwell on the southbound side of the Broad Street subway.

Medics transported one person to Einstein Medical Center: a 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the abdomen. He is listed in critical condition.

A second shooting victim, a 26-year-old man, showed up at Einstein with a gunshot wound to the shoulder.

Police are looking for two black men -- one wearing all black clothing, the other wearing a white tee shirt with blue shorts and a green baseball hat -- who may have fled in a beige Maxima with possible Front end damage with a possible license plate of GKR 3837.
